As Urban educators, we’re always trying to find strategies and solutions for our ever-changing programs. 19-year educator, Dr. Jack A. Eaddy, Jr., developed a band program that was highly decorated and recognized in spite of the many challenges his students experienced. Dr. Eaddy’s passion is to help build Urban programs, and he has presented nationally on teaching in Title I schools. Tales From the Band Room covers tips and tricks, as well as insight from other educators, learned while teaching in Title 1 schools. In each episode Dr. Eaddy speaks candidly, sharing the funny and sometimes crazy experiences that led to his band programs’ success.

Small bands are more than what meets the eye! Smaller bands work just as hard to put out great products as any other program out there, but are not always valued as they should. This episode “Small Bands, Don't Care: It's Not What it Looks Like!” shares ideas to help focus on what you can do to create success in your program. We’re joined by Charles Conner (North Las Vegas, NV) and Juvon Pollard Sr. (Baton Rouge, LA).
